Summit County Common Pleas Court Judges Corrigall Jones and McLaughlin to serve as 2020 Administrative and Presiding Judges


Summit County, Ohio:  The Summit County Court of Common Pleas judges nominated and approved Judge Amy Corrigall Jones to serve as Administrative Judge in 2020.  The Administrative Judge is responsible for and exercises control over the administration, docket, and calendar of the General Division of the Common Pleas Court.

Judge Corrigall Jones, first elected to a full term in the Common Pleas Court in November 2012, was re-elected in November 2018.  Corrigall Jones served as the Common Pleas Court Presiding Judge in 2016.

Corrigall Jones, who has served as Administrative Judge since 2017, stated she is honored to continue serving the Court and looks forward to implementing new, innovative programming in 2020.

In addition to her regular docket and Administrative Judge duties, Judge Corrigall Jones also serves as Presiding Judge of the Summit County Valor Court, a specialized docket serving those who have served our country and the SCORR Program, a grant funded program testing the Swift, Certain, Fair model of supervision in Summit County.

The Summit County Court of Common Pleas General, Domestic Relations, Juvenile, and Probate Divisions nominated and approved Judge Kelly McLaughlin to serve as Presiding Judge in 2020.  The Presiding Judge calls meetings as necessary for the purpose of discussing and resolving administrative problems common to all divisions of the Common Pleas Court.  Judge McLaughlin was elected to a full term in the Common Pleas Court in November 2018.
